The students attend classes at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM during weekdays alternatively. Some classes require them to attend laboratory works, guest lectures, and site observations.

For those interested in conducting research, they are encouraged to actively participate in the research projects and community services. For certain field of interests, the students are welcomed to join the research groups in the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM such as:
- Cancer Chemoprevention Research Centre
- Centre for Natural Antiinfective Research
- Curcumin Research Centre

Facilities
Once enrolled in UGM, each student will receive UGM email account and student ID card which will be mandatory identification requirements to access all facilities offered. They can access libraries in the faculties and UGM main library which is equipped with a full range of printed materials and full access for online journals. Besides, they can also access study spaces, UGM sport facilities, UGM bikes for local transportation within UGM, Gadjah Mada Medical Center.
Dormitory
Universitas Gadjah Mada offers 5 (five) dormitory units namely Darmaputera Baciro, Darmaputera Karanggayam, Ratnaningsih Bulaksumur, Ratnaningsih Kinanti, and Ratnaningsih Sagan. Those units that can accommodate up to 1500 students for long term stay. UGM also offers some units of accommodation for short term or temporary stay namely: UGM Homestay, Wisma MM UGM, University Club Hotel, and Wisma Kagama UGM.
