Indonesian International Student Mobility Award has just opened a newly launched scheme which is the Professional Program (Entrepreneur) (IISMA-E), a Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for entrepreneurship program at top Universities overseas. Undergraduate and vocational students could spend six to seven weeks at the overseas university partner to study, experience the host country’s culture and undertake entrepreneurial assignments to hone their skills.
The 2024 International Summer Course in Natural Cosmetic: Exploring Indonesian Beauty, offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, leverages Indonesia’s rich natural resources and ongoing “Back to Nature” trend to provide an in-depth study of natural cosmetics development.
This immersive program will be held in a hybrid format from 15th July to 2nd August 2024 in Yogyakarta.
The three-week course program will explore the use of indigenous materials, technological advancements in production, and market dynamics, guided by experts from academia and the cosmetic industry.
Aruna Sahwahita (ARUS) is one of the activities organized by the Department of Social Affairs in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the Dies Natalis Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, the Indonesian Health Students Network (JMKI), and the Muslim Students Association of Pharmacy (KMMF). Aruna Sahwahita was held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. The event included a blood donation activity in accordance with the regulations issued by PMI. Additionally, we shared information about blood donation on the Instagram account @aruna.sahwahita, presented in the form of quizzes, bingo, and reels to attract the interest of young people in participating in blood donation activities.
The Cultivation of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) is one of the activities organized by the Department of Social Affairs, where students from the Faculty of Pharmacy volunteer to cultivate TOGA in partner villages. This activity took place on August 27, 2023, in Kaliwanglu Kulon Village, Pakem, Sleman. The event included a workshop on planting and utilizing TOGA, the creation of TOGA booklets containing information on the benefits and usage of the plants, planting TOGA that can grow on available land, and teaching residents in the partner village about what TOGA is and how to care for these plants so they can at least be used for daily needs at home.

Pharmacy UGM – Dr. Amirah Mohd Gazzali from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) gave a highly informative public lecture at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The event was held on September 13, 2023, in the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM’s APSLC Building’s Auditorium Hall on the 8th level. The lecture, titled “Advanced Drug Delivery System and Standardization of Malaysian Herbal Plants,” drew an enthusiastic audience of hundreds, including students, faculty members, and pharmaceutical professionals eager to gain insights from one of the leading experts in the field.
